Throughout the design process, our engineers are driven to do more with less. In the beginning, doing more with less was purely to satisfy our desire to keep things as simple as possible, but now also leads to a smaller environmental footprint. Our designs also help to optimize the useful life of our sweepers, minimize the use of water for dust control and reduce fuel consumption.
TYMCO's efficient Regenerative Air System uses less water for dust control because of our centrifugal dust separator which removes the majority of fines from the air stream before the air is recycled. Our engineers take several aspects into account when designing for better dust control such as water nozzle design, air flow direction and velocity, not just adding more water. This can save TYMCO owners thousands of gallons of water per year.
TYMCO's inherent design for conserving water while providing excellent dust control also allowed the Model 600 to pass the strict South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) Rule 1186 standard for excellent dust and PM10 control.
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)
These California Air Resources Board (CARB) verified Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV), when combined with our proven Regenerative Air System, offer the highest degree of cleaning power available on the market today; while at the same time maintaining and improving the environment. The Model 600 is available as a dedicated CNG or LPG unit, where both the sweeper and the truck chassis are CNG or LPG powered.
Manufacturing the #1 Regenerative Air Sweeper includes considering the environmental footprint of the materials that go into their creation. By using recyclable materials, we reduce the amount of waste going into landfills and provide opportunities for a useful life beyond being part of a TYMCO sweeper.
