Street Sweeping Applications
For street cleaning, striping, and sealing, the TYMCO Models 600, DST-6, 500x and 435 sweepers are right for you. After the Regenerative Air Sweeper was invented by Mr. B.W. Young to fill the need of cleaning pavement prior to applying his slurry seal process the Model 600 was developed to clean streets and paved areas. Since mechanical broom sweepers cost so much to maintain and couldn't clean the fine particulates off the street and vacuum sweeper technology was costly to purchase and maintain, the Model 600 in a brief period of time captured a large portion of the sweeper industry market. For where Air and Water Quality is important and required environmental standards are monitored and enforced the DST-6 is the sweeper of choice. For dumping into a dump truck or a container along a route, the 500x sweeper is the best choice. Smaller municipalities as well as parks departments are well served by our Model 435.
Dustless Applications
The TYMCO DST-4 and DST-6, (Dustless Sweeping Technology) are the most environmentally conscious additions to the growing family of patented, specialized and unique TYMCO Regenerative Air Sweepers. The potential customer list includes cities/towns/villages as well as industrial and contractor customers such as cement plants and mines or where Air and Water Quality is important and required environmental standards are monitored and enforced. The DST-4 and DST-6 offer a solution for these customers because of the patented dustless technology, performance, maneuverability and ease of operation and maintenance.
Parking Area Applications
The TYMCO Model 210 and Model 435 were created for sweeping parking lots, giving contractors and end users a product designed for ease of use, low cost maintenance, dependability and durability. Model 210 and 435 users include: contractors, airports, colleges and universities, shopping centers, amusement parks, race tracks, hospitals, and more.
Runway Applications
The TYMCO Model HSP® "High Speed Performance" Regenerative Air Sweeper was developed to clean large flat paved areas found at airports and military bases. The Model HSP uses the power of Regenerative Air to pick up debris eliminating the mechanical broom type components that creates high downtime and maintenance. Airports and military bases need a sweeper to control FOD (Foreign Object Damage) debris effectively and efficiently – the answer is the TYMCO Model HSP. For sweeping both streets and runways the Model 600 is the best choice for its versatility.
Alternative Fuel Applications
With the ever growing need to address environmental concerns and to meet Federal, State and Municipal air quality requirements, there has been an increasing demand for fleets to add more low emission alternative-fuel vehicles (AFVs). TYMCO has been manufacturing alternative fuel sweepers since 1984. This experience, coupled with our well known reputation for reliability and productivity make TYMCO Alt Fuel Sweepers the smart choice. The TYMCO offers two alternative fuels for the Model 600 and HSP: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) (propane).
High Dump Applications
The TYMCO Model 500x Regenerative Air High Side Dump Sweeper was developed to fill the requirement of cities, highway departments and contractors who have the need for high dump sweeper applications. The Model 500x allows the operator to pull up along side the dump truck, trailer or container for dumping. With its 11 ft. dump capability, the 500x will be able to dump into most trucks, trailers and containers. The 500x was designed with productivity, dependability, maintainability and safety being the focus of the Research & Development department. Since dumpsites and landfills are being placed farther away from cities, the Model 500x is a great addition to the TYMCO product line of Regenerative Air Sweepers. For applications where a smaller sweeper is required, the TYMCO Models 435 and DST-4 are designed to dump into containers 6 feet high.
Broom Assisted Pick-Up Head (BAH) Applications
The TYMCO 600, DST-6, and 500xsweepers are available with a Broom Assisted Pick-Up Head (BAH) Option. The BAH is especially useful in sweeping heavier debris and packed on street debris found around construction areas or after inclement weather. The Broom Assist can be turned on at any time during the sweeping process as the operator deems necessary by a single toggle switch located in the cab. The Broom Assist does not in any way hinder the regenerative air sweeping process, rather the broom simply throws debris into the blast orifice airstream so that "single pass" cleaning is more assured.
